Scion's Chosen: The Beginning

A Brief Introduction of the Author

Hey there, friend. I'm really glad you picked up this book, there's a lot of work that went into making it and it's every historian's dream to have even one person read what they wrote. I'd love for there to be even more, but it's a fascinating experiment that we're embarking on. It's time travel without the magic - but I guess that makes it even more magical, since the only spell that is being woven is the one between you, me, and this text.

Hi. I'm Sigri Martinsdottir, an archivist trained at Kamber Quay. That's way up north in Tamberk, far past the Widow Blade Mountains and where the ports are frozen over more than they're not. This is not my story, really, it's a history written from my own first-hand accounts with the benefit of later archival research. I was just the one lucky enough to live in interesting times. These are partly my recollections from my first trip south, to Ryn. I was initially sent to bring back a wayward scion of a noble house, the Lady Miriam Laurant. I ended up staying far longer than I'd ever intended and met a few other scions along the way. These are their stories, brought to you by my hand. I apologize for any inaccuracies that I unintentionally bring to the story, but everything is as truthful as I could make it. Thank you for reading.
